Matches are 30 minutes long. Kick-off times sit between 19:45 and 21:45 and will vary from week to week, so we will not necessarily play at the same time every Monday.

We’ve signed up for
the Alfreton League.
The paperwork is done and Lilly Street Lions FC Men’s 6-a-side is now officially registered for the Monday night Alfreton league. The league is currently full, so our place is registered and we are waiting for a space to become available.
Simple arrival
Players only need to arrive around 10 minutes before kick-off. Bibs can be worn initially, although the club is looking at supplying the team with its own kit.
£37 per game
The team fee is £37 per fixture. With six players that works out at approximately £6.17 each, so we are working on roughly £6.50 per player each week.
Registered and waiting
The current season is already underway with approximately 10 games remaining. The league is full and there are currently three teams waiting to join, but teams can be added during the season as soon as a space becomes available.
What happens next?
We should receive roughly two weeks’ notice before our first fixture if a space opens up. The league is also actively looking at securing additional time slots, which could create room for more teams.
Everything required from our side is now complete — the team is registered, so it is simply a case of waiting for the green light. Hopefully it will not be too long before the Lions are out there.

Everyone at Lilly Street Lions FC is incredibly proud of our Under-8s and everything they have achieved. They remain at the heart of the club, but we believe the time is right to take the next step and establish an adult men’s 6-a-side team.
We all know somebody who carries pressures and internal battles that others may never see. The aim is to create a positive football environment where men can get active, enjoy themselves, build friendships and feel part of something.
Football cannot solve everything, but exercise, routine, friendship and belonging can make a genuine difference.
